An east Asian girl in the professional Baseball league in U.S.
New York Times reported today. How can a girl who is only 18 years old, not eligible enough in English come to U.S. by herself and join an independent professional baseball league? I really want her to achieve her dream - to play in Major League Baseball which has been never accomplished by any woman.
I'm embarrassed to reflect on myself who also came to U.S. alone with far more experience both in English and in the professional work (Engineering) but still remain not successful at all against my initial expectation. The baseball players in minor / independent leagues are, as stated in the article as well, facing the absolute unstability that they have no guarantee to get promoted to their destination : Major League. Only some people can get those ticket, but there have actually been someones who got the tickets after never giving up their dreams. The question is, if I can have it or not.
