Enabling external monitor (on Ubuntu - Sony Vaio)
Recently I gave up OpenSuse 11.3 on Sony Vaio (VGN-FS92S bought in 2005) after using 3 months as projector server. The reason was GUI, especially the link/button for certain tools were often hard to locate, and also its security handling was hard to configure to me which caused wifi trouble.
Therefore I did clean install Ubuntu (10.04 LTS) in which I already have an experience on Netbook. It turned out to be great as expected, but one problem I've been stuck was to activate an external monitor. So here's my own solution posted on ubuntu forum.
