Install Mathematica on linux
Unlike what's said in this document on ubuntu.com, linux version of Wolfram's Mathematica comes as shell script (.sh) file. So all you need to do to install by default setting is to run it as a super user, namely:
Installer might ask you some question (e.g. where to put binary files) so follow and answer them, and you're all set!
% chmod 755 Mathematica_$version$_LINUX.sh
% sudo Mathematica_$version$_LINUX.sh
Installer might ask you some question (e.g. where to put binary files) so follow and answer them, and you're all set!
