Memo/rough suvey about (Esp. Software) Security in Robotics
Utilizing so-called "Fast 2nd Master Degree" in my School of Engineering, I'm considering what to choose as my 2nd master degree, mainly from Computer Science & Engineering department. Among 3 choices which are Computer Science, Security Engineering and Software Engineering, today I think about Security Engr, especially along with the demand toward an industry field I'm planning to join namely Robotics. As a conclusion after brief survey, not much evidence found so far that proves that the demand for software/information security technology in Robotics field is high.
- In so-called "Network Robot System", security becomes a concern. But from this doc, it's not clear how the study concerning security has grown.
- Network Robot System concept is being well discussed in military, space exploration, home electronics in US.
